XVIII ABC MTCCS provides collective training and individual sustainment on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support small unit; Squads through Company, Medium unit; Battalion through Brigade and Large Unit; Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations. (ULO).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the functionality and efficiency of servers and computers running on one or more operating systems and multiple applications.

  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.

  • Maintains system documentation Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

  • Provides advice and training to end-users.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in system administration and support.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software.

Education Required:

  • AA/AS in IT and/or 3 Years of Experience

Certification(s):

  • Baseline Certification: CompTIA A+

  • Computing Environment Certification: Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10

Security Clearance:

  • Requires a Secret clearance.

Additional:

  • DoD Certification and Training Requirements: As a condition of initial and continuing employment, obtains and maintains required certifications.

  • Mandatory Training / Local Training Plan: Complies with all DoD, Army, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulation, and company and site policy.
