GDIT has an opportunity for an Electronics Engineer Associate in Korea. The Airborne Battle Command Console (ABC2) Electronics Engineer, Associate performs all aspects of the ABC2 systems installed on U.S. Army UH-60L aircraft in Korea. Qualified candidate must have a current and active Secret security clearance.

Duties

  • Acts as the on-site Subject Matter Expert for the AN/ASC-15E suite onboard UH-60s designed for senior level commanders.
  • Coordinates with the Airborne Battle Command Program Support Office for technical and logistic readiness, field modifications, SOP updates, status reports, and evaluations.
  • Advises Unit Commanders and Battalion Aviation Maintenance Officers on aviation maintenance operations and provides logistics assistance.
  • Implements corrective action and recommends guide lines to optimize readiness rates that affect the status of supported weapon systems during Battalion maintenance meetings.
  • Works directly with Battalion Maintenance Officers to analyze readiness trends or problems with the ABC PSO systems.
  • Maintains liaison with supporting units, CECOM LARs and FSRs for logistics solutions.
  • Provides technical support for system hardware including, various audio and data transceivers, controllers, amplifiers, antennas, coax cables, connectors, wires, pins, power supplies, audio junction boxes, computers and more. Performs software/firmware installation, upgrade, and repair on all required systems.
  • Conducts testing and configuring, and resolves system problems with OSRVT, BFT, secured FM/VHF/UHF/SATCOM radio communication, and secured satellite telephone.
  • Provides hands-on operating procedure training for soldiers tailored to each unit’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret, or higher, security clearance
  • Operate a vehicle with manual gear shifted transmission.
  • Pass and abide by the airfield drivers testing and licensing processes.
  • Take and pass the required security testing to attain a restricted area badge, RAB.
  • Safely navigate the flight line on foot and in a vehicle.
  • Work in a high noise environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Remain in enclosed environment with low if any air flow in high heat or cold temperatures while troubleshooting.
  • Climb up and down on aircraft maintenance stands to reach installed components for inspection or troubleshooting.
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Qualified candidate must have a “Secret” clearance and be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software.
  • US passport must not expire for at least 2 more years and must have at least 4 blank pages.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous ABC2 experience and or, BFT-2, FBCB2, OSRVT ISR Video experience.


Education

  • BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience, AA/AS/plus 4 years’ experience, or a High School diploma and 6 years’ experience.
