Overview

ARMA-Global is currently pursuing a qualified candidate to serve as a Senior Test Engineer on the Architecture, Networking and Engineering team that designs, develops, engineers, performs research, tests and evaluates new and emerging technologies for potential integration into Special Warfare programs.  Functional area includes, but not limited to:  IT Networks, Airborne Mission Networking, Radio Frequency Transport, Enterprise Architectures, and Systems of Systems Projects.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Engineer, the candidate will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals, supporting customer mission objectives. You'll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create and execute effective test plans and deliver comprehensive test reports, supporting Development & Engineering projects for delivery of next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Required:
    • Experience with requirements verification, integration and testing of complex systems, including scenario generation, test case development, test scripting, automated testing, dry run testing, and formal test execution
    • Experience with scripting, multicast routing configurations, global transport infrastructures and services
    • Ability to direct test planning activities to include development, coordination, and execution of tests
    • Experience with developing test plans, testing procedures, test reports, and briefings
    • Experience and working knowledge of information systems and networking technologies
    • Knowledge of Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing of new network (terrestrial and airborne) technologies
    • Experience with respect to global transport networks for mission critical services
    • Practical experience testing terrestrial networks with RF, SATCOM and Airborne networks to include the use of network diagnostic tools to verify network performance
    • Ability to work with engineering teams to develop system requirements analysis, system configuration data and automated test activities to ensure required system performance and reliability standards are designed in and verified
    • Ability to deconstruct and interpret technical requirements supporting team projects
    • Knowledge of developing architecture drawings IAW DoDAF requirements
    • Excellent communication skills are a must to facilitate stakeholder briefings
    • Ability to lift over 35 LBS

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience plus 5 years combined DoD and Commercial industry IT experience
  • Current 8570.01M (Sec+ CE or CCNP Security, or higher) certification required
  • Must have a Secret Clearance to begin work and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

In this role you will:

  • Support Special Operations' highest priority new capability development, pathfinder, architecture, integration, and interoperability efforts.
  • Team projects are categorization as:
    • Enterprise & System of Systems (SoS) Architecture
    • Mission Networking Engineering
    • Complex Systems Engineering Projects
  • Develop and perform test actives related to voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks for ground and air combat capabilities
  • Collaborate with teammates on complex problems, and recommend improvements
  • Assist in the deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects.
  • Commit to staying abreast of emerging test technologies and evolving customer objectives
  • Engage with stakeholders and supporting teammates to ensure test plans meet customer expected outcomes and reduce risks to project success
  • Adhere to standards, policies, protocols, procedures, and best practices to embody a “Best of Breed” Development & Engineering services delivery team
  • Participate in architectural and design discussions as they pertain to future state, concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects
  • Participating in strategic engagements and events, as required
  • Brief stakeholders on planned and active test activities
  • Lead project test activities, supporting milestones and providing hands-on technical test support for system development, integration, and implementation

  • Work environment is administrative office / Lab / potential flightline or field operations
  • Limited travel may occur
