GDIT’s Military Health IT Team is HIRING a Senior Systems Administrator to support the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency’s (AFMRA) Integrated Test Project, Evaluation & Analytical Support Services program in Fort Detrick, Maryland.
 

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) operations and compliance of the Operational Medicine Test & Evaluation (OMT&E) local area networks, video monitoring, telecommunications, and acts as a liaison to AFMRA/SG4 IM/IT for support of other information technology resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages daily operations of OMT&E telephones to include secure phone capability.
  • Serves as alternate classified document custodian and courier.
  • Maintains OMT&E SIPRNet capabilities, SIPR Room security, safe inventories, and control of cryptographic controlled items (CCI).
  • Installs and maintains OMT&E video monitoring and three gates’ access keyboards.
  • Acts as a liaison with AFMRA/SG4 information management/information technologies (IM/IT) to manage and coordinate support of all OMT&E IM/IT to include the following: ADPE, printers, fax equipment, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Performs IM/IT voice and data security oversight and Information Assurance (IA).
  • Ensures OMT&E operations comply with current DoD and Services IA and RMF policies and instructions that impact OMT&E IM/IT assets and operations.
  • Assists with reviews of billing from the Fort Detrick NEC to assure charges are based on accurate resources in use at OMT&E. Interacts on a frequent basis with NEC staff to coordinate, schedule, request (with prior Government oversight concurrence) services and support for OMT&E day-to-day operations.
  • Prepares IM/IT test assets for operational test to include scenario development, testing, and configuration of test assets. Test support (IM/IT and other systems or devices) may be required at exercises and locations in field conditions throughout the continental United States and worldwide.
  • Provides recommendations on improvements and modernization of OMT&E IM/IT operational test and office resources. Includes identification of capability gaps, analysis of identified alternatives, and justification for upgrades or addition of new technologies.
  • Provides minor IM/IT equipment repair and upgrades support in coordination with AFMRA/SG4 IM/IT.
  • Assists with tracking, inventory and marking of OMT&E IM/IT assets. Manages and supports IT programs that support OMT&E audio-visual information, libraries, printing and publications, database management, application software, links to the global information grid (GIG), networks interfaces.
  • Proposes updates and improvements to OMT&E procedures, and policies to Lead Contractor Program Manager and OMT&E, Deputy Chief in order to improve quality, performance, decrease time or costs of operational test support functions.
  • Participates on ITTs in assuring testability of AFMS capability requirement documents, test evaluation strategy documents, test cost estimates, test plan, test evaluation master plans, assessment execution documents, and data collection during test.
  • Assists test directors, providing operational expertise, test planning, cost estimation, test program time estimation, test data collection, analysis and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience:

  • College degree and/or Certified Information Systems Professional (CISSP) or equivalent IAM Level II certification
  • Must possess six years of full-time professional IM/IT systems administrator/security experience in the areas of Access Control, Telecommunications and Network Security, Information Security Governance and Risk Management, Physical (Environmental) Security.
  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance
