Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administration for enterprise level Splunk environment consisting of search heads, indexers, deployers, deployment servers, heavy/universal forwarders
Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
Manage accounts, privileges, and system access
Manage system resource in the monitoring of performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, work experience, & professional certifications
5+ years of directly related experience in SPLUNK systems administration and security analysis.
Proficient with recognizing and onboarding new data sources into Splunk, analyzing the data for anomalies and trends, and building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data.
Proficient within a Linux environment, editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and apps.
Knowledge and familiarity with DISA STIGs, creating and updating POAMs, ACAS & ACAS findings
CASP, CISSP, or CISM – Preferred
Security+ CE certification
Top Secret (TS) clearance
