This position is for an instructor of the US. Commercial Banking and Financial Course, a one-week course for Department of Defense and interagency partners. The course covers an overview of the U.S. banking and financial system, U.S. and international commercial banking regulations, how to identify and report money laundering and terrorist/criminal financing (including through virtual currencies). Inter-agency and law enforcement coordination on same is also addressed.  The hired professional will update course content, align it to approved learning objectives, document course updates, deliver course material, and gather course feedback to make improvements within the appropriate scope.


  • Active Security Clearance; SECRET clearance or higher
  • Bachelors Degree in a banking, finance, or related law enforcement or intelligence field
  • Subject matter expertise in U.S. banking, the and financial sector, and / or experience working with U.S. financial rules and regulatory authorities in support of national security
    • Experience working with interagency (ie, law enforcement entities, the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, U.S. Treasury Department – FinCen / OFAC)
    • Experience identifying, reporting, and mitigating money laundering, terrorist, and/or criminal financing operations
    • Understanding of International banking, including offshore banking and foreign bank accounts
    • Proficiency working with virtual currencies and/or proficiency in accounting and taxation
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations on areas of subject matter expertise to diverse audience

Desired skills and abilities

  • SME with hands-on experience as an instructor or curriculum designer
  • Training and proficiency developing and delivering on-line, synchronous or asynchronous adult learning
