General Dynamics is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support our US SOUTHERN COMMAND customer. Individual chosen for this role will develop and document the organization’s IT infrastructure and maintain and update IT hardware, software and services technology roadmaps to ensure they support established enterprise goals.
Other duties include:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of program and customer goals and plans.
Document and develop in-depth knowledge of organization's existing IT architecture and infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Provides critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure.
5+ years experience in systems engineering, or solution architect or systems architect roles.
BA/BS Degree or higher in field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering or relevant degree.
Professional level certification relevant to enterprise architecture
Current DoD Secret or higher clearance or ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret or higher clearance.
Familiar with Architectural Frameworks.
Familiar with ITIL conformant Architecture Design Package creation and maintenance.
8570 Compliance (IAT level II compliant certification and Operating System Computing Environment certification).
