JMSC-IP Systems Engineer / Network Tech - Secret clearance required

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo-Pacific (JMSC-IP) program.  GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training.  Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems.  Establish /maintain training and exercise networks.  Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
• Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
• Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
• Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. 
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems.
• Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 
• Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, information Systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer based technology.
● Required Experience: 0+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques

• Knowledge of the associated hardware, software and equipment.

• Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure; voice / data systems architecture.

• Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, all remote nodes, and various communications devices. 

• Coordinate requirements in conjunction with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), as necessary, to resolve failures of interfaces and networks.

• Develop operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment. 

● Security Clearance Level: SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must meet DOD 8570 IAM I minimum requirements. 

• Must have current Security+ certification.

• Must be able to perform with minimal guidance.

• Excellent oral communication skills.

● Preferred Skills:

• Knowledgeable and capable of performing all work necessary to plan, design, develop, document, test, implement, maintain, and/or coordinate modification of the voice / video.
