GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager with significant experience in Model Based Systems Engineering. The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force.
GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution that enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle.
This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities through Model Based System Engineering method associated with custom application development, testing, and transition; and supporting the client’s business analysis activities. This includes research and development in emerging technologies; managing technical standards;
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
15 years’ experience
Ability to perform under pressure and handle change easily while meeting deadlines.
Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences verbally and in writing form
Work independently and in a team environment, to give and receive direction.
Required Skills include:
Experience applying MBSE
Experience constructing models using OMG standards such as SysML, UML and UAF
Experience working with No Magic modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Cameo Systems Modeler and MagicDraw
A working understanding of SysML and DoDAF
Experience working with cloud environments from a major cloud provider, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or IBM
INCOSE certification at least to the level of Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Program requires employee be US Citizen to obtain secret clearance
INCOSE certification at the level of Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
OMG OCSMP certification
Familiarity with the SAFe Scaled Agile Framework and Lean Agile operations, or ITIL certification
Programming and integration skills for tool chain integrations and plug-ins (Java)
Previous Aerospace experience
