Our work depends on a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Graphics Specialist joining our team to support Center for Disease Control Pandemic Response activities at Atlanta, GA.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a GIS Graphics Specialist supporting the CDC, you will be trusted to work on cartographic visualization of public health data supporting COVID-19 response activities.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Apply graphical and ArcGIS tools and methods to develop visualizations and maintain Emergency Operations Center (EOC) systems.
Develop analysis, evaluation, and data visualization products to support emergency response activations.
Create Maps, Charts, and visualizations to support Incident Management System (IMS) and CDC Director’s Update Briefings.
Monitor, collect, verify, validate, and correlate information from multiple sources; maintain EOC visualizations displayed on the EOC Data Wall and Dashboards.
Creates geospatial products and Python scripts
Creates and maintains internal business intelligence dashboards (MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau).
Collect data from agency websites and Federal Information Systems to support development of geospatial mapping or visualization products
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Education: Master’s Degree
5 Years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Prior experience on Public Health programs preferred.
Experience in R or SAS is a plus
