At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Senior Data Center Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI Cleared Senior Data Center Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Las Cruces, NM.
HOW A SENIOR DATA CENTER ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
- Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.
- Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.
- Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.
- Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - 8+ years of related experience
Location: Las Cruces, NM
