GDIT is seeking a Desktop Support Technician who will be responsible for providing installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications, backend and end user devices, and accompanying peripherals. Assesses user needs and is able to solve a range of problems. Provides installation of new equipment and performs equipment modifications or enhancements. Prepares and maintains documentation for processes for policies and procedures related to computer systems and operations.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Provides technical solutions to a range of technical problems.
  • Provides setup, installation, and troubleshooting support for systems, applications, and related appliances.
  • Prepares and maintains a range of documentation for processes and procedures related to computer systems and operations.
  • Provides incident response and performs customer support tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects and may serve as a team or task lead of those projects.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher + 3 years experience or 5+ years of professional experience .
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Desktop/Laptop and Server Hardware, Basic Networking, Office 365.
  • Certifications: ITIL v4, Azure Fundamentals and AWS Practitioner
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Desktop/Laptop and Server Hardware, Basic Networking, Office 365.
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret CI Poly clearance.

Strong Desired Qualifications:

  • Applicant to hold an Active Top Secret CI Polygraph Clearance.
