GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to support efforts of the US Coast Guard in Active Directory. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE and US CITIZENSHIP.
Responsibilities include maintaining the organizations computer systems workflows and being responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, including:
Fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
creating and administering profiles and accounts and maintains systems documentation.
Tuning system performance for optimal conditions
Installing system-wide software
providing advance level technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.·
Troubleshooting system hardware and software specific issues that are moderate to high complexity in scope.
Supports end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
Performs advance software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Ensures server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
Independently ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Conducts advance hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May provide guidance to less-experienced personnel.
Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies.
Verify all 2008R2 and 2012R2 servers are present and up-to-date, refresh as needed
Check Certificate Services for new Root/Intermediate Certificate Issuances and notify Service Manager
Review SCOM Alerts for expired Certificates, notify and coordinate resolution with system owners for all Enterprise Assets/Services.
Verify that all OCSP and EDMS web services are available and running.
Review all SCOM health monitoring performance related reports.
Check all OCSP and EDMS servers; HDD space, patch deployments, and GPO resolution.
Active SECRET clearance
DoD 8570 IAT II compliant
BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience
Experience supporting Active Directory Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019 and key infrastructure components to include Active Directory Sites and Services, replication throughout an Active Directory forest, DNS and DHCP
Active Directory Trust monitoring
Experience with performing Active Directory backup and restore
Experience with Group Policy to include domain, server, computer, applications and user support
Experience with problem identification and resolution
Experience configuring and managing servers, both physical and virtual (HyperV and VmWare)
Experience supporting and understanding an environment using two factor authentication using Public Key Infrastructure
Familiarity of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
Familiarity managing systems using PowerShell (scripting with PowerShell)
Previous experience supporting DOD PKI and an Enterprise PKI infrastructure
Understanding of DOD STIGS and methods for enforcing STIGS through Group Policy
Versatile and flexible and capable of assisting other Tier 3 teams within the overall, larger Enterprise support team
