Our work depends on an IT Cloud Systems Engineer joining our highly skilled team to be a premier provider of cyber security services to the customer.  We provide consummate cyber security risk management “as a service” platform across multiple fabrics and centers.  We have responsibility to ensure operational IT capabilities provide the client with necessary timeliness, accuracy and security of information demanded from all our highly professional roles. HOW AN IT CLOUD SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Be a part of our team of technical cloud computing professionals by providing highly skilled DevSecOps Engineering experience
  • Participate in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements
  • Meet with stakeholders, analyze requirements, user stories, and related artifacts to determine technical specifications for the system environments
  • Coordinate with technical teams responsible for the cloud hosting infrastructures to establish and maintain the environments used by the program for development, testing, and deployment of the demonstration capability and the final production system
  • Administer Linux/Unix systems
  • Review and maintain environments at the latest security posture
  • Ensure environment and server layout and configuration adhere to industry standards and best practices
  • Remediate app/package installations
  • Rapidly prototype to refine system requirements and technical specifications of the system and its operating environments
  • Design and implement cloud application (Azure/AWS) architecture

Develop enterprise and solution-level architectural designs

  • Apply knowledge of infrastructure as code design, management, and version control techniques
  • Utilize project management skills and/or project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
  • Implement system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Confidently use AWS CloudFormation
  • Build, migrate, and test AWS cloud environments and integrations
  • Develop templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions
  • Create new automation to expand and maintain cloud hosting
  • Monitor and maintain multiple cloud infrastructure environments based on client requirements
  • Identify new tools and processes to improve cloud platforms
  • Develop, test, and monitor connections to interfacing systems such as data feeds from numerous organizations and user interactions from other sponsor organizations
  • Coordinate the integration of enterprise services to be consumed/used by the sponsor system
  • Develop technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program management

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors (Computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline)
  • Required Experience: 4+ yrs
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Linux/Unix systems administration
  • Cloud application (AWS/Azure) architecture
  • AWS CloudFormation
  • Large scale system integration
  • Experience with Splunk and Flexnet

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Scripting to automate developer or operations functions
  • Developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph
  • Location: Bethesda, MD - On Customer Site
