GDIT is currently looking for an Electronics Technician to maintain Home Station Mission Command Center (HSMCC) Suite at Joint Base Lewis- McChord, WA. Must have a current and active Secret clearance.


Job Description:

  • Maintainer of the HSMCC Suite, a robust presentation and conferencing system.
  • Maintains smooth operation of local area network utilizing Private IP ranges and VLANS.
  • Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and system hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as: Cisco Switches, Cisco Codecs, Fiber Transmitters, Receivers and Matrix Switchers, BIAMP Audio Controllers, etc.
  • Brief Senior Military Staff Officers O-5 and above daily on deficiencies, scheduling, and overall system status.
  • Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. May coordinate third-party maintenance and warranty support for system equipment.
  • Ability to identify, isolate, and resolve issues on OSI Layers 1-3.
  • Required to interface systems to pull, modify, and upload configuration.
  • Knowledge of Cisco VTC operation and connections.
  • Past experience with fiber installation, termination, and repair is desired.
  • Work with little supervision.
  • Perform other task and duties in support of RSC daily operation as required.
  • Assist with RSC PC support and network administration.
  • Short TDY travel maybe required.
  • Washington State Drivers License Required

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active Secret Clearance Required
  • Network Security Plus required
  • Able to use Extron/ Python Programming is a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

  • AA/AS, 5+ years’ experience
