The project involves the modernization of a web-based Visual FoxPro (using FoxWeb) into ASP.NET MVC 5.  The legacy application is composed of scores of individual applications and tasks that support a variety of administrative and operational functions.  Applications and tasks are discretely migrated and run in parallel with the remaining legacy modules.  Developers looking for continually evolving challenges and a desire to regularly solve new problems will excel in this role. We need someone that has experience with custom development in large organizations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of IT experience or Masters Degree and 8+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience with FoxPro
  • 2+ ASP.NET MVC Experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft development technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with web-based system development
  • 2+ years of Linq experience
  • Must have relevant hands-on experience with JavaScript/jQuery
  • Basic experience with SQL (language) and SQL Server
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Ability to work independently and reverse engineer without adequate guidance
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and easily understood manner

Desired Skills:

  • Web Development (UI/Presentation)
  • Legacy application modernization/migration experience
  • FoxWeb and/or IIS
  • Experience with administrative systems for Budget, Accounting, or Human Resources
