GDIT is seeking a Technology Vice President to join our Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Division Growth team.  You will be a high-profile, customer-facing technology leader that regularly collaborates and operates across all Divisions.  This position provides an outstanding opportunity to perform a leadership role as we work together to apply the breadth of resources available in our organization to critical technology and mission challenges and deliver cost-effective, next-generation IT solutions and services across the IHS community.  This is primarily a capability and delivery position and not a staff management position within GDIT.

Key Job Duties:


  • Lead division capabilities team reporting to the division CTO

  • Participate in strategy and goal development. 

  • Perform business portfolio management in collaboration with business leaders to advance GDIT’s achievement of strategic goals in the marketplace.

  • Lead operational, business development and delivery teams from the deeply informed perspective of a technologist informed with business management skills.

  • Lead the development and formation of technology focused strategies for the purposes of market entry, business development, partnering, and informed acquisition (M&A related and otherwise) discussions. Lead by being a “center of gravity” and develops points of view around one or more technology domains that are or will be critical to the GDIT business.

  • Lead all aspects of architecture or engineering team including design, engineering, implementation, and operations for the identified focus area.

  • Work with Division leadership and technical staff including Architects to ensure business alignment.

  • Create an environment within which architectural guidelines, offerings and services are defined and enable GDIT to both deliver and win business.

  • Direct many complex IT initiatives across multiple locations

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of Architects, Engineers, System and Network Administrators and business operators

  • Assess talent and diagnoses gaps

  • Determine IT workforce planning needs

  • Identify specifics workforce strategies for upskilling, cross-skilling, and succession planning

  • Implement IT workforce management for task and assignment management

  • Continuously Monitor KPIs and utilization for ensuring IT Service Management

  • Support operational, business development, capture and Go-To-Market (GTM) offering-wide general, functional, and people objectives

  • As needed direct teams leading customer issue resolution support, including II and III level support SMEs.

  • Organizationally reports to Leadership positions in the Company.

Business Management:

  • Act as a “change agent” by identifying and recommending business innovations (particularly those that are enabled by technologies that drive automation into our business processes) that accelerate GDIT’s business performance.

  • Manage, maintains and develops healthy relationships with business/technology partners to seek “win, win” opportunities.

  • Foster and build an environment within which the organizational critical success factors are nurtured and grow (methodologies, technical offerings, BOEs, designs, services, best practices, etc.)

  • Inform development of key metrics, service levels and expectations from technology adoption.

  • Consult with Customers and SMEs to assess and anticipate current and future requirements for solutions and develops a long-term action plan

  • Collaborate broadly to support internal and customer business development activities, including requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), notional scheduling and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates.

  • Lead initiative to gather Voice of Customer feedback from stakeholders to continually optimize governance and decision-making processes.

  • Support the creation and developments of standards operating, service-level agreements, and service-level objectives.

  • Support the creation of pricing models based on an understanding of benchmark service levels and market prices in the industry.

  • Recommend business process changes for better adoption of GDIT services.

  • Identify and evangelize business and technology trends that can improve business outcomes

  • May serve as executive sponsor for internal technology initiatives.

Technology Management

  • Participate in the building of the internal and/or external technology strategy for GDIT.

  • Be the voice for new technology and innovation by understanding the value of adoption and implementation of new technologies.

  • Participate in leading industry forums to represent business interests and supports development of customer-centric business solutions.

  • Keep abreast with evolving threats/risks, industry trends and works to implement best practices in the organization.

  • Coordinate with business, data, and architects to align roadmaps, avoid duplication, and identify interdependencies.

  • Define, track, and communicate specific KPIs to improve adoption and guide continuous improvement efforts.

  • As needed engages actively with Supply Chain and Alliances to manage vendor relationships and aligns vendor products/services with enterprise/division strategy and business objectives.

  • Work as a SME or Senior Technologist to implement industry standards and development methodologies, including ITIL v4 best practices within services to increase its responsiveness and growth. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline.

  • Experience designing and delivering solutions in the Intelligence and DoD Markets.

  • 20+ years of experience in delivering or directing program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and have served clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Experience in the development, drafting, and writing of technical solutions.

  • Experience supervising technical and administrative staff.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in applying service delivery business models and technologies to deliver successful outcomes that support and enhance customer mission capabilities.

  • Demonstrated understanding of service model conceptualization, design, business case analysis, and implementation.

  • Firm knowledge across and experience in several of the following areas: Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Software Application Development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in application and best practices of both AGILE and ITIL Frameworks.

  • Able to leverage out of the box relationships such as academic, small business and other relationships to identify and build Enterprise IT/Managed Services solutions and services, including Concept of Operations (ConOps) development and labor estimation.

  • Industry recognized subject matter expert.

  • An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative and actionable manner.

  • A working knowledge of the following areas of technical expertise: system design and architecture, ITIL and IT Service Management and organizational change management.

  • The ability to lead, conduct, and build consensus when reviewing of business development, capture and program materials in support of operations and proposals.
