As a Subcontracts Administrator, you will support the business strategy that helps ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

HOW A SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Participating in the development, negotiation, and administration of assigned NDAs, TAs, Subcontracts, and other related agreements in accordance with client requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Participating in the capture process by communicating with the subcontractor teammates regarding data calls (i.e., pricing, past performance), assessing the responses received, and co-ordinating communications.
  • Ensuring timely processing of subcontract negotiations for fair and reasonable pricing as well as terms and conditions with assistance from peers or management and input from relevant stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining compliant audit files in accordance with customer requirements and GDIT policies and procedures.
  • Generating reports on subcontract activity as required.
  • Serving as a liaison and facilitator between the program team and the subcontractor regarding contracting issues.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant subcontract procedures and practices.
  • Initiates and maintains a network of communication with GDIT internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers.
  • Participating in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience in subcontracts /contracts administration. In lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience in subcontracts /contracts administration.
  • Required Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in subcontract administration. Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to operate and negotiate independently. Developing effective research and presentation techniques. Effective problem-solving skills.
