GDIT is seeking a Cloud Consultant to help support an exciting new Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS), in Fort Meade, MD. This position will require the employee to report full-time onsite in Fort Meade, MD.
The Cloud Consultant will:
Responsible for the solution delivery of the programs comprehensive portfolio of Cloud Technical Services, which encompass the full life cycle from initial planning to architecting and deployment.
Responsible for comprehending, delivering, and refining this portfolio of offerings.
Perform a wide variety of tasks, including setting strategic direction, planning, designing, recommending, and architecting the cloud-based technology solutions necessary to leverage the power and economics of cloud resources to satisfy the program requirements.
Review and assess all functional requirements for the DEOS program to determine impact to overall governance and policy.
Ensure final governance and policy packages reflect the posture necessary to meet all requirements and will identify optimal solutions to enforce these policies. Solutions may include native capabilities of Microsoft 365 (M365) or full analysis, assessment, and recommendation for 3rd party products as necessary.
Ensure deployment remains on schedule and in line with the current capabilities and future directions of cloud products, while enforcing enterprise standards and cyber security posture as dictated by the customer.
Ability to develop architectural position, design, and specification papers.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance
IAT Level II Certification
10 years of experience (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education)
3+ years managing Office 365 services in a large-scale environment
Experience with commercial cloud services
Strong skills in a broad set of infrastructure and operational technologies: virtualization, grid computing, clustering, (broadband networks and internet architecture), data centers, multitenant, service, and web technologies.
Familiarity with cloud concepts related to security, networking, and architecture.
Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS cloud delivery models.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Able to report onsite as indicated above
Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP cloud services
Experience with Agile software development
