Systems Engineer Senior

Our work depends on Systems Engineer Senior joining our team by utilizing your expertise in MECM / SCCM to bolster the combined efforts of the team. The MECM Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) infrastructure and related systems in support of our customer's IT needs. This role requires extensive experience with MECM, as well as knowledge of related technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server.  Manage the administrative operation and maintenance of server hardware and software. Maintain system security and establishes practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, monitor and remedy attempts to penetrate or corrupt server files. Develop baseline configurations and directs modification of configuration settings. Troubleshoots system related problems. Provide team leadership and guidance to less experienced administrators. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.    


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred)
  • Design, deploy, and maintain MECM infrastructure to meet customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain operating system images, software packages, and deployment scripts.
  • Develop and implement software update management strategies using MECM.
  • May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.  


● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience


● Required Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration and Windows Server platforms (2016/2019/2022)  
  • Implement security configurations, such as third part applications, within MECM.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MECM and related technologies.
  • Strong Experience with MECM at the Enterprise level 
  • Experience with PowerShell Scripting and systems automation  
  • Experience performing troubleshooting for technicians and/or end users utilizing Service Now ticketing system. 
  • Strong experience with server virtualization (VMWare and/or Microsoft Hyper-V)  
  • Experience with creating WIM’s for a variety of images across the enterprise. 
  • Participate in project planning and management, providing technical guidance and expertise as needed.

● Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionally. 
  • Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities.  
  • excellent communication and briefing skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through.  
  • Experience in creating effective technical documentation.   
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work.  

● Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative, and innovative in a dynamic, fast-paced matrix team environment. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in MECM and related systems and provide recommendations for future improvements.
