GDIT is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to support requirements in the European Theater. The successful candidate will bring at least 8-10 years of experience in plant engineering, data center design, and working as part of project team. A background supporting secure facilities and an understanding of Government-specific requirements for facilities management is a must.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience supporting at least one successful construction project at a scale of at least $250M, and should have a working familiarity with all relevant building systems to include the full range of IT hardware (network devices, cable distribution, desktop systems, audio/visual, alarm systems) with expertise on facility power, HVAC, fire suppression, and other environmental systems supporting a government facility.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Survey, assess, and analyze facility systems to include power, HVAC, fire suppression, and other facility systems and provide written input to the project team on a complete facility IT retrofit in the form of an engineering implementation plan.
Development of project plans, engineering plans, coordination and management of resources, and periodic status reporting.
Scoping of effort required to modernize passive and active infrastructure.
Development of Lists of Materials and coordination and oversight of the procurement process. Organization of secure shipping as required.
Organization and performance of Systems Acceptance Testing, development and execution of plans for issue resolution.
Coordination with Government project managers to conduct requirement gathering meetings and validation meetings with all applicable stakeholders.
Coordination of reach back support including technical writing experts and CAD drafting experts as required.
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificate upon start
Possess or be actively pursuing a PMP certification
An entry-level or intermediate level certification in network technology is desired.
Candidates must be able to qualify for German TESA.
