General Dynamic Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring all levels of Network Engineers, in Fort Meade, MD.  Your primary responsibilities include monitoring network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network.

Senior Level Responsibilities:

· Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process. 

· Plans implementation of enhancements. 

· Provide 24/7/365 Monitoring Support which shall be inclusive of monitoring system, network, and select tools and applications to identify and correct malfunctions, performance issues,  and other operational events. 

· Develop, implement, and maintain, as approved by the COR, DoDNet documentation/artifacts, policies, processes, and plans in support of risk management. 

· Support scanning and reporting for vulnerabilities and abnormal activity. 

· Execute weekly security and vulnerability management scans. 

· Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.

Intermediate and Associate Level Responsibilities:

· Install and maintain Patch Panels, LAN, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Telephone Cable, Crypto and Communications Equipment (DSU/CSU for Data Circuit), etc. 

· Provide technical expertise to design, install, remove, analyze, and test, in order to sustain the Cable Plant and Wireless infrastructure, utilizing best practices.

· Provides technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers.

· Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements. 

· Analyzes customer requirements to determine optimal network solutions.

· Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network. Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has some authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.

· Provide status and outage reports. 

· Record, Resolve, and Escalate problems/incidents. 

· Conduct technical analysis to develop detailed trend analysis. 

· Design, develop, test, and implement (IAW Change & Request Fulfillment Management procedures) engineering solutions to prevent, mitigate, or eliminate the recurrence of identified network, application, or component issues and/or improve capability efficiency, capacity, and/or performance.

· Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.

Required Qualifications For Senior Level:       

· Active Top Secret clearance is required.

· A combination of 5 or more years of experience.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications For Intermediate Level:

· Active Top Secret clearance is required.

· A combination of 2 or more years of experience.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications For Associate Level:

· Active Top Secret clearance is required.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
