The Administrative Assistant II may shift between teams as needs arise. AAs working at the commercial site are expected to use proper procedures when traveling between sites. While support procedures and guidance are still evolving, at the present time there is typically one team member at the commercial site and two team members at the sponsor site during core hours, 0730 to 1530, Monday through Friday. Level of autonomy, authority, discretion is high but team coordination, communication and orientation are also extremely important. The work is transactional in nature with prescribed checklists, standard operating procedures, and guidance in place to direct responses and daily activities. However, new challenges and issues can arise that will require problem solving skills and ability to quickly communicate and elevate to the broader team when needed for guidance. There is a high level of interaction with users that require customer service skills when interacting with people who may be frustrated with a technical issue. Professional decorum is paramount at all times in demeanor and in written and verbal communication. Briefings and presentations are not requirements at the present time. Arrival time is no later than 0730 and departure time is no earlier than 1530. Local travel is required via personally-owned vehicle but it is typically scheduled and costs will be reimbursed. Travel between sites is 11 miles each way or 22 miles round trip. Each AA will be issued and be responsible for a set of devices (laptops, cell phones) to be used at the commercial space. AAs will be responsible for maintaining positive control of devices and following appropriate procedures when using devices. Storage bags will be provided for carrying and storing devices. At this time, devices are stored at the team members personal residence.
