GDIT is currently looking for an experienced Personnel Security Specialist with a current TS clearance, with eligibility for SCI access, to join its mission critical team located in Washington, DC. All candidates must have the knowledge and experience to effectively monitor, manage, assess, and evaluate personnel security operations.  A competitive candidate should have the following experience and knowledge, which must be clearly described in the resume, along with current security clearance status:

  • Effectively manage and ensure compliance of all personnel security-related activities per applicable security procedures and policies, to include client-specific
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft and present effective (clear and concise) reports, both written and oral
  • Prepare Personnel Access Requests (PARs)
  • Prepare System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs)
  • Process Monthly Priority Lists, as provided by Facility Security Officers (FSOs)
  • Maintain Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and local personnel security databases
  • Assist client in conducting security reviews and staff assistance visits at Government and industry locations
  • Administer foreign travel / foreign contact program as it applies to client staff
  • Administer initial security indoctrinations
  • Process visit / clearance verification and access rosters

Minimal telecommuting allowed to support response to crisis events similar to COVID-19 pandemic

Required Qualifications:

  • Six (6) years’ relevant experience in security
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility
  • Must have knowledge and experience producing, handling, storing, transmitting, and transporting classified materials, up to and including Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Must have experience working with senior government and military personnel, and have exceptional written and oral presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Security Information Management Systems (SIMS) database experience
