At GDIT, people are our differentiator. GDIT Technology Shared Services(TSS) is looking for a SCRUM MASTER to support the Project Management team.
Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver quality products and services to internal and external customers.
Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, estimation techniques, and frequent delivery of products.
Working with various stakeholders, actively addresses impediments raised by the Agile team.
Helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guides the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
Facilitates and supports all scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
Continuously challenges the old norms to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
Provide support to projects following traditional project management methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Agile project management experience or 2 years of Scrum Master experience
Must be a certified SCRUM MASTER or be willing to obtain certification within the first six months of employment.
A proven track record of successfully implementing IT projects using Agile methodologies
Experience managing projects in Waterfall methodologies
Experience with of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or ScrumBan
Experience with running Scrum ceremonies such as Story refinement, Sprint Planning, Scrum, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospective.
Ability to provide project status to stakeholders and senior leadership
Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
Ability to serve as a servant-leader for Agile teams in a Matrix organization
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with multiple stakeholders and product owners.
Must be have the ability to obtain a secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
