Provide continuous coverage to the Server Operations Team during scheduled shift and remain on shift until relief coverage is available.
Manage, configure, and install server hardware in a mixed blade and legacy environment that includes IBM and HP Chassis. Schedule and coordinate installation and maintenance of software/hardware on the network and ensure compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software. Design and develop internet enabled application software. Manage and control software builds and configuration.
Ensure the development and implementation of current and future system requirements. Optimize system performance through tuning, repeated adjustment, testing and re-adjustment. Review proposed new systems, networks, and software designs. Endorse mitigation and resolve integration issues related to implementation of new systems within existing infrastructure. Coordinate development of measurable objectives for system performance that form baseline for measurement of system effectiveness.
Provide on-call and recall support as-required to sustain 24/7/365 operations.
Provide ‘Mission Essential’ support availability, including physical coverage during inclement weather, holidays, and government closure.
Provide support of Primary, Secondary, and COOP locations within a 150 mile National Capital Region (NCR) area, including overnight lodging.
Ability to lift 25 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet and position self to maintain systems and equipment within the IT environment, including under desks and in enclosed spaces.

Primary Functions -
Manage and monitor Windows Active Directory, integrated DNS servers and multi-master zones, and WINS servers and replication infrastructure.
Manage Windows Server 2012R2 and 2016 design, configuration, and administration.
Conduct registry backups and system level modifications to support patch remediation.
Configure Group Policy Objects (GPO) and apply Local Security Policies in accordance security settings/STIGs and other commercial security best practices.
Provide SME level troubleshooting on file server, IIS, SharePoint, VMware, CITRIX, and in-house application operations.
Maintain systems configuration and manage installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements. Manage mixed virtual, (vCenter/ESXi 6) and physical infrastructure for servers and workstations. Create project and task plans for infrastructure projects and changes.
Document procedures taken, to research, assess, troubleshoot, test, and resolve support issues in designated ticket tracking system (ITSM Remedy) via incident or change type ticket. Provide oversight for applicable multi-level system troubleshooter, resolving and identifying integration and impact points, system events and network interface application problems and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks and data through planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of Computer Network Defense information systems, security programs, policies and procedures. Develop and practice CND (CJCSM) information security protocol required to protect systems. Maintain and update requisite documentation and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to operate the system in support of certification and accreditation.
Monitor all identified systems and services utilizing approved tools.
Conduct fault isolation and resolution of network problems, whether cable, workstation, peripherals, or other hardware.
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on hardware and peripherals. · Ensure technical safeguards are maintained to provide controlled user access, integrity of electronic mail, applications and user data.
Document procedures and processes used to research, assess, troubleshoot, test, and resolve support incidents. · Assist with maintenance of servers and network services.
Assist and coordinate with all support tiers as necessary to support project/task execution or with any escalated user requests or incidents.
Secondary Functions -
Provide design recommendations and support documentation on existing and new architecture.
Lead small teams of staff for successful project execution.
Create project and task plans for infrastructure projects and changes.
Provide support to Linux, UNIX, Solaris, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SCOM, and PM driven systems.
Administer, issue, and maintain user accounts, distribution/security groups, and passwords.
Provide data transfers between classified and unclassified networks according to prescribed policy and procedures.
Experience Requirements -

Current (within 05 years) computing environment certification; Ex. Microsoft MCSA/MCSE. Must be obtained within 4-months from start Clearance
TS SSBI; Interim TS acceptable
