Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases

Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates, installs and administers database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management

Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods

  • Experience in installation, configurations, patching/upgrades, monitoring or maintenance with Oracle RDBMS versions 11c or higher
  • Solid working knowledge of Oracle relational databases and usage of features within databases (RMAN, partitioning, user management)
  • Strong experience with SQL and working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
  • Proven Technical support for applications - troubleshooting and resolving issues related configurations, patching and use of applications
  • Working knowledge of other Oracle products, such as WebLogic (middle tier technologies) and Golden Gate
  • Ability to resolve complex issues involving database capacity, replication and other key aspects of an Oracle database
  • Experience in overseeing various environments (development, test, beta, and production) to identify trends in database operations
  • Demonstration of talent in Oracle RDMBS performance troubleshooting and tuning
  • Experience using UNIX operating systems; specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 operations systems

Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation

Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

  • Job will be part of Operations support, so there are occasions for afterhours and weekend work for production deployment and other application support
  • Will be required to participate in an on-call rotation for 24x7 support

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 7+ years of experience

Clearance: Secret Clearance or able to obtain Secret Clearance
