Job Description
  • Five or more years’ experience in Storage Administration
  • Gather requirements, design, and implement storage solutions in a VMware, Linux, AWS, Azure and Windows environment (disk layout, RAID levels, etc.) to ensure optimum storage performance and data availability
  • Perform capacity planning and assist with storage forecasting
  • Conduct advanced problem diagnosis and resolution, system monitoring, error reporting, and system maintenance including creation and maintenance of system documentation and diagrams
  • Analyze performance statistics and when necessary provide tuning recommendations
  • Experience with Storage Automation and Configuration Management concepts and techniques
  • Assist in setting standards for hardware and software purchases and provide senior level installation and configuration of new hardware and software
  • Upgrade system software and hardware components as required to meet business needs
  • In-depth experience with Fiber Channel based networks as well as NAS / DAS / ISCSI
  • Work off hours to perform maintenance activities, system upgrades and data migrations
  • Strong organization skills to lead complex projects, prioritize work and ensure deliverable dates are met
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel and team members
  • Good leadership skills to mentor the work of and provide support for less experienced personnel
  • Participate in on-call rotation
