We are GDIT. The people supporting and securing some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country. We ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work has meaning and impact on the world around us, but also on us, and that’s important.
GDIT is your place. You make it your own by embracing autonomy, seizing opportunity, and being trusted to deliver your best every day.
We think. We act. We deliver. There is no challenge we can’t turn into opportunity. And our work depends on an Administrative Assistant III joining our team to support our client.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
The candidate will, once trained, be expected to independently manage the classes that they are assigned to support. They will have access to student Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and therefore will need to maintain discretion at all times. They will need to be comfortable in a dynamic environment
Classes at this center range in duration from one week to 10 weeks with two week breaks between classes. Breaks between classes are generally when we advise staff and instructors to take any necessary leave so that they can be available during class time for students
Because much of our training is done outside of the schoolhouse, in the afternoons when students and instructors depart the schoolhouse it gives support staff the opportunity if they have the initiative to work to get ahead and plan for busier days
While the candidate assigned to this position will be part of the course support team, it should be understood that each person is assigned their own classes. That said, everyone at the center pitches in when necessary to ensure success and therefore if someone else on the team is going to be out it will be necessary to be trained to back up the other team members
Personnel assigned to this position should be well versed in both written and verbal communication; they will be responsible for communicating with the training and officers for all mission centers and components during program calls for courses and for answering routine questions regarding the classes which they support
Responsible for providing the kick out administrative briefing and close out administrative briefing days for their classes at the office
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Available to work during the core business hours between 0700-1400
Must possess effective communication skills
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU:
401K with company match
Challenging work that makes a real impact on the world around you
Diverse, highly collaborative teams
A culture of mobility to foster your career growth goals
Education and training opportunities
