GDIT is seeking a strong AutoCAD Operator / Drafter to help support our Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Infrastructure Installation Support Services (EIIS) program. This is a 100% remote position.

The candidate should be able to:

  • Draft Engineering Designs in digital format in AutoCAD or MS VISIO as required IAW applicable standards including, but not limited to: pre-implementation drawings; redline drawings; as-built drawings; systems drawings; network diagrams; block diagrams; connectivity diagrams
  • Delivers all documentation IAW applicable standards
  • Demonstrate experience and able to lead or direct a team of specialists in the implementation and operation of various types of fully integrated computer-based systems.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability to test and operate all phases of the system cycle.
  • Able to operate all system components as defined in the TO to include hardware, software, and mass storage devices.
  • Able to operate communications-computer systems, and install, implement, maintain and tune operating systems, disk and tape management systems, and computer operations automation software.
  • Meet the above mentioned with minimal guidance and in proficient / timely manner.


  • Develops conceptual designs, final designs and provides maintenance support for the architectural phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Review and document facilities building projects.
  • Consult with clients to determine their requirements.
  • Work with teams across building facilities and engineering lines of effort
  • Resolve design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
  • Modify existing plans to fit client needs.
  • Using Microsoft and AutoCAD tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Public Trust Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Architectural/Facility design experience
  • AutoCAD or similar CAD package experience
  • Microsoft Office Applications experience
  • A successful background and substance abuse test is required prior to employment

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
