Job Description

Overview:

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join our team supporting a Federal customer in developing new, and maintaining existing, software systems in an agile environment.  The position is located in Washington, DC. GDIT provides full software development lifecycle as well as operations & maintenance expertise for a variety of applications supporting a complex case management process that supports many thousands of users in a highly visible public-facing set of applications. Our services include program and project management, scrum master support, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, software engineering, release management, application support, security management, testing services, configuration management, change management, and COTS/GOTS support and the development of new solutions as needed. As part of the program, GDIT supports the agency in all its Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and Development/Security/Operations (DevSecOps) methodologies, practices, and processes. Join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to generating responses to crisis or urgent situations to mitigate immediate and/or potential threats
  • Using mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches, as needed, to maximize survival of life, preservation of property, and information security
  • Providing oversight for incident data flow and response, content, and remediation, and partners with other incident response centers in maintaining an understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits that could impact networks and assets
  • Performing real-time proactive event investigation on various security enforcement systems, such as SIEM, Anti-virus, Internet content filtering/reporting, malcode prevention, Firewalls, IDS & IPS, web security, anti-spam, etc.
  • Performing the role of Incident Coordinator for IT Security events requiring focused response, containment, investigation, and remediation
  • Performing forensic analysis on hosts supporting investigations
  • Conducting malware analysis in out-of-band environment (static and dynamic), including complex malware

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with intercepting and handling/resolving any escalations from Tier 1
  • Experience with categorizing and prioritizing non-Tier 2 resolved issues and pass to Tier 3 (developers) for in-depth investigation, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Math, or equivalent.
