GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager / Logistics Specialist to support our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe in Powidz, Poland.

The IT Project Manager / Logistics is responsible for developing and managing complex projects to include developing and managing customer expectations, deliverables, schedules, time, and scope. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, creating project plans, communication plans, allocating tasks, and setting milestones. The candidate will possess a logistics background and understand supply chain best practices and integrate into the Army and contractor procurement process. This project management position will require the candidate to have at least 5-8 years of relevant, recent project management experience and a current PMP and obtain an ITIL V4 certification shortly after hire. The candidate must have an active secret clearance at a minimum with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Experience supporting US Army programs, specifically, US Army Europe is highly preferred. 

Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all project tasks, deliverables, and assist the customer with procurement activities.
Provides oversight and supervision for a team of 10-20 contractors and subcontractors and their assigned deliverables.  Must be able to provide GO/Executive level briefs, translating technical solutions into operational mission and update briefings.  The PM must be able to extract pertinent weekly status updates from the team and ensure this is included in weekly updates.

  • Contributes to team effort by assisting team members with accomplishing milestone deliverables. .

  • Identify, evaluate and define project needs and scope.

  • Supervise and control project milestones, tasks, scope, timelines, expenses and risks impacting projects.

  • Prepare comprehensive project plans to assure deliverables are attained within budget, timeline and varied project objectives as defined by Project Directive.

  • Develop project plan on basis of business requirements, arrangement of project team, project metrics design, KPI’s and reporting.

  • Guide on the technical aspect and direct project to cross-functional teams.

  • Estimate logistics-related resources and time and establish priorities within project team.

  • Involve in resource allocation and coordination with different project team managers and leaders.

  • Oversee and control logistic project progress.

  • Establish goals and objectives and provide instructions to respective team members.

  • Head and stimulate projects and develop communication plan working with team members, stakeholders and project sponsors.

  • Manage risk and develop risk mitigation plan as well as strategy.


  • Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI Investigation;  Top Secret and above preferred

  • BA/BS Degree with five-plus years of project management experience with an ITSM and PMP certification is required. Years of experience can be substituted for a degree.

  • Five-plus years of project management experience with an ITSM and PMP certification along with experience managing a team of 15 or more IT professional across different areas of expertise (Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering)

  • Technical Management, Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information, Informing Others, Staffing, Problem Solving, Data Center Management, Developing Budgets, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Quality Management.

  • Ability to create project documentation and project plans.

  • Ability to brief GO/SES level customers on operations, project status, and solutions.

  • Must have a current 8750 IAT II certification at time of hire
