The Sponsor department is seeking an energetic and mission oriented Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks with limited supervision, work well under pressure, show initiative, communicate clearly and effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate will work with senior management and will be assigned to lead, plan, implement, and coordinate activities for multiple courses offered by the Sponsor department. The AA will work under the supervision of a senior staff support officer, working largely behind the scenes to provide a broad range of support to Sponsor courses to include serving as registrar for branch-generated courses and gathering/developing/tracking/analyzing performance metrics for these programs. Each AA will be required to back the other up. Both individuals will be required to open/close the classroom vault, ensure office supplies are stocked/ordered, reserve occasional parking spots for senior management, produce TOY or other reimbursement vouchers for staff, and facilitate the access of new officers onto the system (vault access, databases, etc.). The core business hours are between 0900 and 1500, however the AA will be required to stay for the duration of the courses they are supporting, and will therefore need to plan their work hours accordingly to ensure a full 40-hour work week. There is no weekend work or overtime, but our staff does work flexible hours to accommodate the course schedule. No domestic or foreign travel is required, nor is there a requirement to travel to other buildings/locations. This position does not require any heavy writing or editing. There are no physical work requirements (i.e., moving office furniture, etc.).
