General Dynamics Information Technology has an immediate opportunity for a PL/SQL Oracle Programmer with the following duties and responsibilities included (but not limited to): · Will serve as the Pl/SQL Programmer for the USPS OIG Application Development directorate · Designs, develops, implements, and maintains complex database application systems
Primary Requirements: · Knowledge of relational database configuration focusing on Oracle and Teradata platforms · Ability to prepare detailed system/program documentation · Demonstrated knowledge of terminology, usage, and operating characteristics of hardware, software, and operating system components that information systems within the client server environment · Ability to analyze and evaluate moderate to highly complex information systems by being able to interpret such devices as Entity Relation Diagrams, data dictionaries, record layouts and logic flow diagrams · Ability to translate OIG project requirements into detailed system/program requirements, to include providing alternatives, recommendations and assistance to management and staff · Ensures project management and defined database standards and procedures are followed and requirements and design is documented. Satisfies requirements, meets agreed to completion date(s), and performs unit and integration tests for products developed.
Desired Requirements · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields · Extensive knowledge and experience in PL/SQL programming to include the use of query tools such as SQL Plus and Queryman. Working knowledge of ACL software a plus · United States Postal Service operational knowledge as it relates to both retail and bulk processing facilities.
Required Experience Candidate will possess at least 3 to 5 years of specialized experience in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex database systems.
This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
