General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for a Senior Web Developer in Wilkes-Barre PA to join our team supporting the USPS. As a Senior Web Developer you will:
Research, design, develop and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
Participate in the design and coding of software products
Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Prepare comprehensive test plans and conducts tests
Analyze test results and recommends moderately complex corrections to more experienced software engineers
Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
Advise hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements
Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
Troubleshoot problems and provides customer support for software operating system and application issues
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Participate in special projects as required
This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the one or more of the following:
Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:
Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
Assist team with preparation of cost estimates
Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
