GDIT is seeking a Senior Legislative Analyst to help support our DoD CIO C4IIC support program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. NOTE: Due to the type of access this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time, onsite. HOWEVER, during the current COVID-19 global crisis, this program is temporarily allowing some telecommuting. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor, review and track issues and actions from the legislative bodies.

  • Review pertinent legislative documents for actions that may apply to the mission and promulgate them to appropriate staff.

  • Review and publish when in session, the daily legislative calendar and flag activities that are relevant to mission.

  • Assist the legislative staff in tracking and maintaining congressional actions and letters.

  • Support the legislative correspondence management processes to include all aspects of mail operations and electronic workflow tools.

  • Support the improvement and simplification of legislative reporting requirements as well as analyzing documents to include regulations and directives for conformance, clarity, duplication or conflict.

  • Support meetings, seminars, symposium, workshops, conferences and off-sites to include processing requests, scheduling, arranging for facilities, preparing materials, and recording and producing minutes as well as reports and briefings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelors Degree in related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems.

  • Previous experience managing Senior Executive calendars

  • Required to demonstrate advanced skills for daily use in software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Ability to successfully complete work independently and be an asset in a team environment

  • Ability to think strategically, research and analyze data, and respond to related questions/inquires

  • Extreme attention to detail and adherence to established deadlines

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Demonstrated effective oral and  written communications, and a willingness to write short pieces

  • Willing to report onsite as indicated above

Desired Qualifications:

  • OSD (Office of the Secretary of Defense) experience is highly preferred
