The Navy Directorate for Information Dominance is consolidating all Tier-1 IT service desks and moving from a human-centered Subject Matter Expert (SME)-based business model to a business model using a Knowledge-Based (KM) solution called Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD). We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This position is supportable remotely within the U.S.
The capability shall employ artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing to create an adaptive solution that becomes “smarter” with each transaction in NESD. Your specific role in this process is to offer insights and solutions to Remedy ticket management processes and drive the evolution of the solution to be more efficient and helpful to the end user. Duties include:
Extract and analyze data from the Remedy/Helix system to identify the most repetitive incidents.
Work with technical developers and business process managers to identify opportunities to infuse automation to drive efficiency thereby reducing the number or duration of contacts to the Service Desk.
Focus on reducing data redundancy or improving data movement across systems using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that expose data and application functionality for use by developers and users.
Discover, analyze, and specify potential changes to how software systems create and maintain information and data – specifically Remedy/Helix, the Cisco ACD, and the Amelia AI system.
Employ tools and techniques used to understand and analyze how an organization should collect, update, store and exchange data.
Review and maintain business users’ data requirements
Identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities
Define and employ data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies as appropriate
Make recommendations for standardization and proper data collection
Champion the usage of data in business and communicate the benefits and return on investment for application customers and system owners
BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
5+ years of Software development experience, BMC Remedy/Helix and SQL Server
Artificial Intelligence experience desired but not required
Experience in Data Management/Warehousing
Ability to utilize business intelligence tools to represent insights
The likely salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
