GDIT offers an opportunity to join a client at the heart of the Nation's homeland security and continuity planning community.
We are seeking a senior writer to work hand in hand with the team to expertly transfer thoughts to paper. Scope includes policy, guides, training material, and other communications from the national to the state and local levels.
Must be local to the area. Telework days may be possible but must be able to make themselves present at government offices in Washington DC as needed.
Generally, our writers :
Reviews and edits material for punctuation, grammar, and content.
Identifies and modifies contextual errors, reorganizes content, and edits graphics, tables, and illustrations.
Develops the process for crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing highly articulate articles.
Collaborates closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate and complex content.
Provides guidance to less-experienced technical editor personnel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
