We are currently seeking a Cyber Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAAs Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designs and evaluates end-to-end systems through their entire life cycle
  • Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and customer information assurance and cybersecurity standards and practices through formal verification methods with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics
  • Conducts software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated
  • Conducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems
  • Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development life cycle
  • Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design
  • Responsible for the full range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
  • Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration/testing issues
  • Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Linux or Windows services and applications
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Other duties as required
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree(in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field is preferred) + 10 yrs. related experience  
Qualifications:
  • Familiarization with FAA Order 1370.121A a plus
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure devices, TCP/IP, routing protocols, firewalls, basic service ports, spanning ports, and TCP/UDP traffic
  • Experience with malware analysis and cyber security tools
  • Experience with encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Strong analytic ability
  • Must have a basic understanding of common network communication protocols
  • Knowledge working with HP Openview, Loadrunner, VMWare, Rational software, Oracle, DOORS, SQL, Linux, Unix, and Java
