This project operates, manages, and monitors the health and status of Record Message Systems and the enterprise-wide customer communications/hardware and software applications that are a part of those systems. This includes troubleshooting and providing corrective action to any Record Messaging related problems/issues, while also testing and evaluating the new technology.
Basic Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Tests and supports the new Record Messaging technology and assists with the transition of the legacy systems to new technologies.
Assists as necessary the task order system administrators and others from the customer organization that support and manage the health and status of the Record Messaging Systems.
Provides identification and fixing of problems within the legacy systems, while also assisting with design/analysis and subsequent implementation of the new technology.
After hours call-ins are possible. Normal workday is 8 hours, between 6AM and 6PM.
Possibility of travel CONUS or OCONUS, less than 10%.
Must already have and be able to maintain the proper TS/SI clearance, and any additional security clearance requirements levied by the customer.
Initiative to learn, especially new technology while maintaining legacy systems during a transition.
Must be proficient in executing commands and writing Shell scripts on UNIX, LINUX, or Solaris systems.
Must be proficient in SQL (with MYSQL databases is a plus).
Familiarity with XML.
At least an intermediate level of understanding of the UNIX, LINUX, or Solaris operating systems.
Familiarity with Organizational/Record Messaging is a plus.
Experience with UNIX/Linux/Solaris systems in areas of system administration, integration, and development.
Experience in identifying network related problems; and with routing and alt-routing.
Experience with PKI authorization services; and System Security Plans (SSP) and the SSP role in development to production processes.
Microsoft Windows system administration.
Required Certification: One of the following DoD approved certifications is required to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) requirement for this position: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP+ CE, GCIH, GCED, CCNP Security, CySA+, or GICSP NOTE: this certification requirement must be completed before an individual can join the task.
Required Education & Related Experience: Either a Doctorate plus 1 year, OR Master’s plus 3 years, OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience
