Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes unit collective training at echelons ranging from Brigade to Army. 
  • Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.  
  • Serves in a mentorship or observer/controller role when requested.  
  • Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).  
  • Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs. 
  • Plan, prepare, and execute in accordance with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of wargaming principles and execution is highly desired.
  • Expert knowledge of modeling and simulations.
  • Experience with joint integration is highly desired.
  • Requires at least MEL IV education.
  • Must be former Field Grade Officer, FA 57 highly desired.

Education Required:

  • BS/BA required (subject immaterial)

Security Clearance:

  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance
  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
