The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the frontline border security component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) charged with the priority mission of preventing terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States while also facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. CBP’s mission is vitally important to the protection of the American people and the national economy.
Within CBP, GDIT works with the Office of Finance (OF) to manage and maintain their financial processes. Those processes include budgeting, accounting, procurement, and asset/property (real and personal) that enable CBP to accomplish its mission. In support of these business processes, GDIT supports the planning, design, configuration/development, testing, implementation, end user training and support, integration and interface development, and program management of CBP’s financial systems.
The Office of Finance (OF) is relying on GDIT to implement Robotic Process Automation to enhance the productivity of the OF staff. GDIT has piloted the program and in now ramping up support.
RPA Analyst/Project Manager:
Primary Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Creates and maintains bots that will interact with multiple internal and external applications.
Engage cross-functional team members effectively to define and develop high quality bots
Participates in the design, development, and testing of bots including working with customer to create Process Definition Document (PDD) for each BOT creating and maintaining solution documentation.
Shepherd each bot through the development lifecycle to successful deployment
Maintain and improve existing bots by working closely with business stakeholders
Recommend improvements to bots
Prepare test scenarios, test bots, and record test results
Follow best practices at each stage of development and test procedures
Document lessons learned
Assess business processes for feasibility and effectiveness of potential bots
Maintain a bot development schedule and prioritize support tickets
Qualifications Business RPA Analyst
Requires a BS/BA and 5 years of relevant software lifecycle experience,
Knowledge of good software engineering and configuration management practices
At least one year’s experience building Robots utilizing UiPath software
Use of UiPath for one or more years
Excellent analytical skills for developing logic for bots
Good client interaction and management skills
Excellent communication skills for working with customers
Ability to estimate work duration and generally meet work estimates
BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance or IT
Location and Travel:
Remote work 70% or more of the time
Travel (post COVID 19) to Indianapolis required 3 to 6 days/month
Indianapolis or DC-based location preferred
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
