The right person will have experience monitoring and managing medical networks for the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Army, Navy, and/or Air Force.
This is a remote working position. You must have access to high speed internet and an area, within your home, exclusive to GDIT work.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Deploy and sustain new or existing information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks.
Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of the network.
Perform daily performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of the network.
May assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of network hardware and software products.
Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the network.
Performs network infrastructure maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture
Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing information networks such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance with the organization’s business requirements.
Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
Coordinate troubleshooting efforts across the MTF and associated stakeholder communities to provide seamless end-to-end connectivity support
Support Military Treatment Facility and engage the Ports, Protocol and Service Management (PPSM), Firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) teams for network monitoring and troubleshooting efforts
Provide daily reports on network status
Escalate issues in a timely manner and engage in team collaboration efforts as needed
Bachelor’s Degree experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
4 + years’ experience in the field
Experience in Network design, networking, communications, experience managing network switches and routers, IPV4, IPV6 and firewalls
Must possess current DoD 8570.01-M certifications
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain a NACLC (T3) investigation
Prior experience providing LAN, WAN, Wireless support for the DoD and/or MTF across the MED-COI

The likely salary range for this position is $58,781 - $98,176, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
