Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Network Systems Analyst to provide technical support for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The Network Systems Analyst will serve in a vital program role, responsible for creating hardware and software configurations in order to improve the functionality of a network system.

• Analyze the network system performance
• Develop capacity reports and capacity management plans, as well as a strategy to maintain optimal system performance
• Make capacity change recommendations that will enable optimal system performance with trade off options
• Work with the Network Architects and Engineers to gather capacity data, identify trends, help to define capacity metrics, identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop improvement plans and approach that enable IT services and supporting infrastructure to meet targets for capacity
• Ensure network standards are met by monitoring communications protocols, evaluating router performance and recording data transfer speeds
• Support the efforts to deploy SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across the service area

Required Skills:
o Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
o Proven hands-on network engineering experience and deep understanding of networking protocols
o Ability to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and resolve problems, as well as identify deficiencies and solutions to improve the network environment
o Working knowledge of cabling infrastructure
o Effective communication and time management skills
o Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards
o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
