Our work depends on a Senior (Sr.) Automated Test Engineer joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) activities.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Sr. Automated Test Engineer supporting CMS, a typical day will include:

  • Ensuring high-quality deliveries of code through the development and maintenance of  automated test cases, for initial validation of new features as well as for existing features updated due to requirements/environmental changes
  • Creating and maintaining testing artifacts and summary reports to present the status of test cases
  • Conducting peer reviews of test cases and test documents


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expert experience as an Automated Test Engineer in an Agile DevSecOps or DevOps environment, using blue-green deployments, and adding automated test scripts into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Expert experience developing test automation scripts for Angular based applications, using Selenium Webdriver, Protractor, Cucumber, or an equivalent, and for RESTful services, integrating them with Jenkins/GitHub
  • Expert experience in application programming interface (API) test frameworks and scripting languages such as NodeJS
  • Experience testing for Section 508 Compliance using JAWS or other similar tool(s)
  • Expert experience developing testing documentation, such as Test Summary Reports and requirements traceability reports
  • Experience in remote and distributed testing with Selenium Grid
  • Expert experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years


  • US citizen or a Green Card holder
  • Active SAFe DevOps Practitioner or other SAFe certification(s)
  • Health Care Industry and/or CMS experience
  • Developer background, preferably in JAVA
  • Experience with WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool), WAT (Web Accessibility Toolbar), and ANDI
  • Experience with Enterprise Portal and Enterprise IDM
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences

The likely salary range for this position is $75,599 - $126,250, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
