GDIT is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in support of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Financial Resources (OFR) to implement an Acquisition Management System (AMS).   GDIT will acquire, configure, implement, and provide go-live support, providing a low-code commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.

To implement the AMS, the overall team will be engaged in all aspects of the deployment from requirements gathering, architectural design, software configuration and development, testing, implementation and deployment support, change management, training, data migration, data management, and post go-live support. 

This position is for full time employment with GDIT.  Business hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.  All work is remote with travel as requested to Atlanta, GA locations at both GDIT (2 Corporate Blvd., Suite 100 Atlanta, GA 30329) and CDC (2939 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341). 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. Includes program analysts and management consultants. --- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

  • Serve as the Scrum Master – track backlog of tasks, ensure on task with sprints, organize sprint planning meetings for multiple initiatives and multiple applications each running 3 weeks sprint and releases approximately once every 2 months.  
  • Serve as Proxy product owner for multiple applications to include database, ETL, text and mobile development
  • Review and remove roadblocks to ensure timelines and deliverables are on target
  • Draft system process flows
  • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
  • Represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of users acceptance and may coordinate testing, and system techniques and controls.
  • Utilize knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow.
  • Ensure tasks are being completed in a timely manner (aligned with sprints)
  • Use JIRA to track status updates and create status reports
  • Create Epics/Stories/Tasks/User Stories in JIRA
    • Monitor team progress
    • Lead stand-ups, retrospectives and sprint planning sessions – to include task estimation, roadblock removal
    • Conduct resource planning and scheduling
  •  Maintain and administer Confluence  and monitor documentation
  • Prepare report for/attend weekly client meetings with CDC and Program Stakeholders
  • Facilitate/coordinate requirement gathering sessions with partners, O&M, Client Stakeholders - Prepare high-level requirements for the extended team
  • Create and track QA reports; Review and ensure thorough and appropriate upkeep of test cases and reports
  • Work with Client to prepare Decision Papers and other support documentation needed for the project
  • Conduct/Facilitate team cross training sessions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • BA/BS and 5+ years business analyst experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience creating diagrams for business process flows
  • Experience using and Agile lifecycle management tool (ideally JIRA and/or Confluence)
  • Experience creating user stories
  • Experience working in Agile software development, preferably functioning as a Scrum Master
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired:

  • BS degree preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
