GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
An I2TS 3 Systems Engineer will:
Personnel required to hold and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance (DoD security clearance).
Maintain the mandatory baseline of STIG compliance on all responsible technologies within the architecture.
Implement all directives as mandated and apply operating system and software patches to the Virtual Infrastructure, Server, and SAN architecture.
Coordinate complex requirements across multiple, parallel datacenter architectures and ensure replication and interoperability between sites for Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations situations.
Perform system administration on vSphere infrastructure 6.X, Window Servers.
Gather requirements and evaluate new products/solutions as necessary in order to meet the Customer's operational goals and in accordance with DOD Regulations and basic security principles.
Provide systems engineering expertise to analyze mission system requirements for integration and operation of infrastructure. Plan installation and configuration of tool suite implementations.
Participate in working groups with other Systems, Security, and Network Personnel.
Develop and integrate new tools/capabilities and enhance existing tools/capabilities into an operational environment.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
Develop system architecture and system design documentation
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
Be responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives
Coordinate and manage engineering projects
Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance
Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
Desirable Skills / Experience:
Demonstrated technical proficiency in various Operating Systems, Storage, Virtual, and Server products. Ability to write technical documentation and briefings. Familiarity with various other Disaster Recovery and service monitoring solutions. Ability to provide knowledge transfer to customer staff for datacenter architectures.
System Administration/Engineering, SAN Administration/Engineering, Virtualization Administration/Engineering. Ability to implement, configure and maintain Datacenter Infrastructure technologies (MS, HP 3Par Storage, and VMware vSphere 6.5.)
Education Required:
High School Diploma/GED with 10-years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 8-years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6-years of experience, or Master's degree with 4-years of experience
Certification(s):
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
VCP, MS MCSE, AWS, or Storage related cert (3PAR, NETAPP)
Security Clearance:
TS/SCI required
Additional:
Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
