At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to create innovative solutions and recommend options for shaping future requirements. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Updating Domino Lotus Notes databases and applications inclusive of functionality and testing verification.
  • Providing operations/maintenance of existing Lotus Notes databases and making recommendations for future transition.
  • Provide Software lifecycle planning and execution
  • Evaluate and define application workflows, data, hardware, logical processes and operating system environment.
  • Provide web application development support and educate users of best practice and performance optimization techniques.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Domino Xpages, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Lotus Notes/Domino administration and security, Lotus Notes Formula language, Relational Databases, Java, XML, Web services, Software lifecycle planning and execution
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Creates and designs overall highly ingenious software systems that addresses and/or exceeds the user/business needs.

Creates and designs highly impactful models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.

Creates and designs innovative software updates, refinement, testing and debugging processes to meet business needs.

Utilizes the comprehensive analysis of project specification, activity, and status to create and design highly ingenious software systems.

Provides highly ingenious and overarching advice on the documentation of the software or system design.

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

May serve as a mentor to experienced analysts.

May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within a Division.

Recognized as an industry leader in software development.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 20+ years of experience
