Responsible for the design and development of voice video radio frequency, and/or data communications networks.
Jr. Core Network Engineer will work within a collaborative team to provide core engineering support for both wireless and wired networks for clients. This will include upgrading, configuration and management of enterprise management systems such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure as well as wireless and wired network infrastructure including Wireless LAN Controllers, Mobility Service Engines, Unified Access Points and switches, switches and routers. The Jr. Core Network Engineer will also remotely support onsite teams with the installation or life cycle replacement of wireless and/or wired infrastructure at customer sites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must be able to pass a full background check and/or obtain a Government clearance.
Configuration of wireless infrastructure including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Mobility Services Engines (MSE) and Access Points (AP's).
Configuration of wired infrastructure including Cisco routers and switches.
Operations and Management of Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Ability to work both within a team and individually with minimal supervision.
1-3 years of experience in enterprise network implementation or support
1-3 years of experience in wireless infrastructure support in a large environment
1-3 years of experience in LAN infrastructure support in a large environment
Familiarity with Cisco wireless solutions including, WLC, MSE/CMX and LWAP
Familiarity with Cisco Prime, and Cisco ISE or similar applications
Experience with Cisco Layer 2/3 switches and routers
Familiarity with network design and implementation methodology and concepts.
Must be able to pass a full Department of Veteran Affairs background investigation or hold an active government clearance
Minimum CCNA required
