Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Help Desk Technician II supporting US ARMY CENTRAL COMMAND, you will be trusted to work on Microsoft Office and Active Directory resources as well as support connectivity for Laptops, Desktops, Thin Clients, Network Printers and other similar devices.

● Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software on the USARCENT Classified and Unclassified networks
● Greet customers that walk up to the Help Desk as well as answer telephone and email requests for help.
● Enter trouble tickets into a tracking system and follow the ticket to resolution
● Create user accounts and mailboxes for the end users.
● Install system patches and software updates to ensure systems are protected against cyber vulnerabilities.
● Re-image computers
●Success will be measured through your ability to provide customer service that is polite and professional, while providing problem resolution for the USARCENT customer base.

● Education: High School Diploma/GED
● Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: **MUST HAVE either A+, OR Network+, OR Security+ CE certifications to qualify for the position.**
● Security Clearance Level: SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
● Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate clearly
● Preferred Skills: An understanding of basic troubleshooting
● Location: Work is performed at the customer site Patton Hall located on Shaw AFB in Sumter S.C
